Harvest Monday

This week I've been harvesting a lot of asparagus, kale and chives.

Asparagus,  kale, and chives from the garden

To the kitchen

Straight into a frittata.  Very yummy!

Also, we had some lettuce

in a salad with chives

And, our first garden strawberries of the year!

I'm happy to have discovered Harvest Mondays at Daphne's Dandelions, where we can share what we are harvesting each week.  Some of the posts are beautiful - take a look.

  1. Now that is a berry harvest. My little measly two berries wasn't really worth it. OK yes they were, but oh to have as many as you do right now.

  3. Delicious looking fritatta. I make a big fritatta every week and cut it into wedges for my husband to take in his lunch every day, he would love one like that.

  5. We are at the peak of lettuce season right now. Not a strawberry in sight - yet. It's so hard to wait for the first "insert a vegetable here"! And that frittata looks delicious!

    1. I hope your strawberries come soon! One of the amazing things about gardening is how quickly change can happen. We can go from nothing to something in the blink of an eye. Just the other day I realized that all of a sudden, I had tons of roses in bloom. The day before there were none.

    1. Just compost! Great stuff, that compost - It fertilizes the garden while reducing the waste I send to the landfill.
